Do I Need a Visa for El Salvador from India?

Visa Details
Indian ordinary passports are category B (consular visa), not unconditionally visa-free. Under Article 34 of the immigration regulation, category B travellers with a US, Canadian or Schengen visa receive category A exemption treatment; an entry migration card payment still applies. The reviewed provision does not specify prior-use, multiple-entry or minimum remaining-validity thresholds, so confirm your exact document and permitted stay with the consulate. Separately, CEPA publishes a USD 1,000 plus VAT airport tariff for listed transit passengers, including Indians; this is not evidence that every tourist entering El Salvador pays that tariff.

Transit conditions need confirmation. Check the airport, documents and connection conditions below before booking.
The visa exemption for airport transfer passengers does not authorize a sightseeing visit. CEPA's published tariff for listed transit nationalities, including India, is USD 1,000 plus VAT. Check the airline's payment and connection requirements before booking; paying the tariff does not guarantee permission to transit.
