Visa Details

Indian passport holders normally need an Irish visa. The Short-Stay Visa Waiver Programme permits eligible UK short-stay visa holders who have first gained lawful UK entry during the current period of permission to visit for up to 90 days or the remaining UK permission, whichever is shorter. UK transit, marriage/civil-partnership and long-stay visas do not qualify. A 180-day UK grant is not mandatory. BIVS is a separate endorsed-visa scheme. For airside transit, check Dublin Terminal 2 and same-day 04:00–20:00 limits; other arrangements require appropriate entry permission.

India is not on Ireland's transit-visa nationality list. At Dublin, the airside connection described by Immigration Service Delivery requires both flights in Terminal 2 between 04:00 and 20:00 on the same day. Other arrangements, baggage collection or overnight connections require permission to enter Ireland and an appropriate entry visa or applicable exemption.
