- Proof of Bangkok accommodation (hotel booking or host address)
- Proof of funds (20,000 THB cash recommended)
- TDAC QR code (mandatory from May 2025)
Pro Tips
- Get a Rabbit Card for BTS Skytrain — it's the fastest way to avoid Bangkok traffic between Sukhumvit, Silom, and Siam
- Stay near a BTS or MRT station — neighborhoods like Sukhumvit (nightlife), Silom (business), and Rattanakosin (temples) each have a different vibe
- Visit the Grand Palace and Wat Pho in the morning (opens 8am) to beat the heat and crowds
- Chatuchak Weekend Market (JJ Market) is one of the world's largest — go Saturday or Sunday morning
- Carry 20,000 THB cash (about ₹47,000) as proof of funds — immigration at Suvarnabhumi may spot-check
- Download Grab app before landing — metered taxis from the airport add a 50 THB surcharge plus expressway tolls
Important Notes
- • Indians get 60-day visa-free entry as of 2025 — no visa needed for Bangkok!
- • Bangkok has two airports: Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) — double-check which one your flight uses
- • TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) becomes mandatory from May 1, 2025 — complete it within 72 hours before arrival
- • Bangkok is one of the world's most visited cities — book accommodation early, especially near BTS Skytrain stations
- • Tuk-tuks are tourist attractions, not efficient transport — use Grab (Thai Uber) or BTS for getting around
