Step-by-Step Application Process

   Check the embassy’s jurisdiction list and the current C-3-9 instructions for your place of residence.

   Complete the Korea Visa Portal e-form, print it, and sign it; gather the documents and photographs requested by your local checklist.

   Submit through the channel named by your mission. Chennai applications go through its designated VFS Korea Visa Application Centre.

   Mumbai change from 1 October 2026: applications must go through a designated travel agency; direct consulate walk-ins will no longer be accepted. Check the consulate’s current agency list.

   Pay the current visa fee and any applicable service charges; do not use outdated amounts printed on older checklists.

   Check application status and print the result through the official Korea Visa Portal as instructed by the mission.

Documents Required

• Original passport and completed, signed online application form; meet your local photograph rules. Delhi requires at least 6 months’ passport validity; Chennai requires more than 6 months and 2 recent colour photographs.
• Delhi tourist checklist: 6 months of personal bank statements; employees supply an employment certificate and 6 months of salary slips; students supply a bonafide certificate; business applicants supply company registration and the business-profile form.
• Delhi tax evidence: individuals supply 2 years of ITR; business applicants supply 3 years of personal ITR, with 3 years of company ITR optional. Include an explanation if no ITR, plus the listed health-condition and declaration forms.
• Chennai tourist checklist: 6 months of bank statements with the bank’s original stamp and signature; occupation/employment proof; employed applicants’ salary slips for 1 year; 2 years of ITR acknowledgement and PAN, or an explanation for missing ITR.
• Chennai business owners: 3 years of company ITR acknowledgement and PAN (proprietors: personal ITR), company registration and business-profile form; sponsored travellers need relationship proof. Include the health-condition form.
• Mumbai applicants must use the consulate’s current checklist and notices; do not assume the Delhi or Chennai list is interchangeable. Provide any additional evidence the responsible mission requests.
