Step-by-Step Application Process

   Complete the DS-160 online, upload a compliant photo and save the confirmation page

   Follow the embassy instructions to pay the application fee and schedule the required appointments

   Normally apply in your country of nationality or residence; demonstrate residence if applying on that basis

   Follow local instructions for biometrics and an interview, or an eligible renewal interview waiver

   Provide any additional evidence requested; further administrative processing may be necessary
