Indian citizens do not need a visa to enter Nepal. Nepal's immigration office accepts a valid Indian passport or voter card; minors without a passport have separate identification provisions. For flights between India and Nepal, carry a valid passport or original photo voter ID issued by India's Election Commission—downloaded voter-ID printouts, Aadhaar and PAN are not accepted. Indian ordinary-passport holders leaving Nepal for a third country need a No Objection Certificate from the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu; airside transit without clearing Nepal immigration is exempt.
