Visa Details

Since 15 September 2026, Indian ordinary-passport holders visiting Thailand for tourism can use the visa exemption for up to 30 days, subject to immigration's entry decision and the stay stamped on arrival. An extension of up to 30 days is discretionary, not automatic. Complete the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within three days before arrival, including the arrival day, at https://tdac.immigration.go.th/. Carry proof of accommodation, onward travel within the permitted stay, and sufficient funds; check the current conditions before travelling.

Transit Through Thailand

Transit conditions need confirmation. Check the airport, documents and connection conditions below before booking.

Published transit route: Less than 12 hours (airside only)

Must stay in the airport transit area.

  • •Confirm with the airline that the connection and baggage transfer need no immigration clearance

No TDAC is required when you remain airside without passing Thai immigration. If you clear immigration, including for a self-transfer or airport change, meet Thailand entry requirements and submit TDAC in the three-day window before arrival. Official mission wording differs at exactly 12 hours; for connections of 12 hours or longer, confirm the applicable transit or entry permission with the Thai mission and airline.
