Visa Details

Indian ordinary passport holders need appropriate permission for a short stay in this Schengen destination. A valid short-stay type C visa must cover this territory; airport-transit type A permission does not allow entry. An unused entry is needed when entering or re-entering from outside Schengen, not for travel between Schengen countries during the same permitted stay. Follow the visa’s validity dates and granted days, within the shared 90-day limit in any 180 days across Schengen. Limited-territorial-validity visas cover only the states specified, and overseas territories may have separate rules.

Transit visa exemptions:

Holders of valid visas from: US visa, Canadian visa, Japanese visa, IRL visa, CYP visa, Schengen visa

Valid Schengen, Irish, Cypriot, US, Canadian and Japanese visas can qualify under Article 3(5) of the Visa Code; a UK visitor visa does not. Qualifying residence permits include the specific Annex V documents from Andorra, Canada, Japan, San Marino, the UK and the US guaranteeing readmission, plus qualifying EU and Dutch Caribbean permits. A residence card of any kind is not automatically sufficient. Confirm the exact document and itinerary with the Czech authorities.

Ordinary Indian passport holders normally need a Czech airport transit visa unless a qualifying exemption applies. The exemption only covers staying in the international transit area; crossing immigration requires appropriate Schengen entry permission.
