Indian passport holders can apply for an Azerbaijan eVisa before travelling to Baku, normally for one entry and up to 30 days. Standard processing takes 3 working days. Airport visa exceptions depend on additional eligibility, such as a qualifying residence permit.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Apply through the official portal at https://evisa.gov.az/en/ and choose standard or urgent processing

Enter your nationality and passport details accurately and complete the requested application information

Review the final fee for the selected service and pay online

Check the application outcome by email or on the portal; standard processing takes 3 working days and urgent processing takes 3 hours

If approved, print the eVisa and carry it with the same passport used in the application
Documents Required
- The passport you will use for travel, valid at least 3 months beyond the eVisa expiry date

- A printed copy of the approved eVisa to present with your passport on arrival
Pro Tips
- Apply earlier than the minimum processing period to leave time to correct mistakes
- Use the application-status page if the result email does not arrive
- Check every passport detail before paying: incorrect details can invalidate the eVisa, and visa payments are non-refundable
- For visits longer than 15 days, ask your hotel or host to arrange registration and confirm it has been completed
Important Notes
- • ASAN Visa permits a single entry and up to 30 days of stay within its 90-day validity period
- • Indian nationality alone does not make an airport visa available; the normal tourist route is an advance eVisa
- • From 15 February 2026 to 15 February 2027, third-country nationals with qualifying Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain or Qatar residence permits valid for at least 6 months can obtain a 30-day single-entry tourist visa at Azerbaijan international airports
- • If staying more than 15 days, register your place of stay with the State Migration Service within 15 days of arrival; registration is free
- • An eVisa does not authorize paid work
