- Apply while outside Vietnam using a valid ordinary passport and accurate application details
- Passport guidance differs: Delhi's eVisa FAQ asks for 6 months from arrival; MOFA's general rule requires 30 days beyond visa validity. Confirm your case with Immigration and your airline
- Upload a portrait photograph and passport biodata page; provide the application information requested by the portal
- Pay through the official portal and use only government-designated eVisa entry and exit gates
Step-by-Step Application Process

Apply through https://evisa.gov.vn/ or https://thithucdientu.gov.vn/ while outside Vietnam

Enter your details accurately, upload your portrait and passport biodata page, and select the dates and number of entries you need

Save the application code and pay the single- or multiple-entry fee online

Check the result on the official portal using your application details; do not rely only on receiving an email

If approved, check the passport details and validity dates, print the eVisa and carry it with your passport

- Digital portrait photograph meeting the portal's specifications
- Completed online application details and online fee payment
- For travel: printed approved eVisa and the corresponding passport

Important Notes
- • Both single- and multiple-entry eVisas can be issued for up to 90 days; your issued dates control
- • Use designated eVisa border gates only; check the official list for your exact route
- • The visa is usable between its printed start and end dates, not for an automatic 90 days from issue or from a later arrival
- • A submitted application is not an approval; wait for the issued eVisa before relying on it for travel
- • The eVisa fee is not refunded if the application is refused
