Marrakech eVisa for Indians
Complete visa requirements for Indian passport holders
Indian passport holders need to obtain an eVisa before travelling to Marrakech. Follow the official application route and current document requirements below.
Guide updated: 28 September 2026
Key Information
Key Requirements
- For the eVisa route, an ordinary Indian passport valid at least 90 days from application.
- Obtain the approved eVisa before travel; nationality-based eligibility does not guarantee approval or admission.
- Carry a return ticket, evidence of means and insurance covering hospital treatment and medical repatriation for the stay.
- For a conventional application through VFS India, the current checklist instead requires passport validity of 6 months from submission and at least 1 blank page.
Step-by-Step Application Process
- 1
Use acces-maroc.ma to check your nationality, passport type, residence and travel purpose, then follow its eVisa application link.
- 2
Verify your email, enter the requested details and upload clear passport and photo files plus any documents requested for your category.
- 3
Review the application carefully, choose standard or express processing and pay. Track requests for additional information through the official portal.
- 4
After approval, download the eVisa and carry it for boarding, arrival and checks during your stay.
- 5
For a conventional tourist visa from India, follow the Embassy’s VFS India instructions and current tourist checklist.
Documents Required
- eVisa application: clear colour passport identity/validity pages and a 35 × 45 mm colour photo taken within 6 months.
- Arrival: passport, approved eVisa, return ticket, financial means and hospital/medical-repatriation insurance covering your stay.
- If applying under the residence or supporting-visa category, upload and carry the qualifying document; India is separately listed in nationality-based category A.
- Conventional India tourist application: follow the current VFS checklist for the signed form, original passport and copies, photos, covering letter, accommodation evidence, flights, insurance and identity documents.
- That checklist also asks for 3 months of original bank statements stamped and signed by the bank, plus occupation evidence; sponsored applicants submit the specified sponsor evidence instead.
Pro Tips
- Check the fee and every passport detail before payment: the portal terms exclude cancellation or refund after validation and payment.
- Keep the approved eVisa accessible throughout your journey and respond to any request for additional information.
- Apply with time for corrections and Moroccan non-working days; express processing is not an approval guarantee.
Important Notes
- • AccesMaroc describes the eVisa as single-entry, valid for up to 180 days from issue, with a stay of up to 30 days. Validity is not permission to stay for 180 days.
- • The Moroccan Embassy in India separately mentions extension and multiple-entry possibilities, which do not match the portal’s standard terms. Confirm any longer stay or re-entry directly with the authorities before relying on it.
- • An eVisa does not guarantee admission. Children under 18 using an eVisa must travel with a parent or legal representative.
- • Do not combine several eVisas to extend an uninterrupted stay; follow your issued visa and leave within its permitted stay.
